SUMMARY
Backend / Full-Stack Developer with 8+ years of hands-on software development experience in logistics and cross-border cargo systems. Strong in Java, Spring / Spring Boot, Hibernate, SQL and REST APIs.
Experienced in document-driven enterprise applications, complex Excel/PDF processing workflows, Angular and Ext JS frontends, and native Android applications for logistics terminals. Work has covered end-to-end feature development, legacy system modernization, SQL/Hibernate query optimization, document import/export and reporting, role-based access control, third-party API integrations and production issue investigation.
Completed an AI-first modernization of a large legacy Struts2 application to Spring REST APIs in 2026, removing Struts 2 from a live production system entirely, using structured agentic workflows for codebase analysis, migration planning, refactoring, test generation and code review.
SKILLS
EXPERIENCE
Full Stack Developer — Transinform
2018 – PresentJava / Spring / Ext JS / Angular / Android · logistics and cross-border cargo systems
WGR — cross-border cargo documentation platform
2018 – PresentWeb application for managing cross-border cargo documentation and logistics workflows, including CIM/SMGS waybills, invoices, customs and operational documents. Used by clients in Belarus, Germany, Poland, Kazakhstan and Russia.
- Led an AI-first modernization that removed Struts 2 from the live application, migrating 667 catalogued routes to Spring MVC without a rewrite or downtime: 158 Struts action classes and the Struts filter deleted, 815 compatibility aliases built during the migration and retired to zero, and no Struts or XWork classes left in the packaged WAR. Completed August 2026.
- Applied AI-assisted and agentic development practices across codebase analysis, migration planning, implementation, test generation and code review, backed by a structured route catalog with a closed status vocabulary, executable retirement gates and 1,710 Java test classes running green on Java 8 as a CI delivery gate — preserving existing production behavior throughout.
- Implemented a Google Cloud Vision-based OCR workflow for logistics documents, tested on 1,000+ real documents with approximately 98% recognition accuracy; the solution has run in production for around 3 years with minimal adjustments.
- Implemented document processing workflows for CIM/SMGS waybills, invoices and related operational documents, including complex Excel import/export and partner-specific formats using Apache POI.
- Developed PDF generation, printing and reporting functionality using iText, including a configurable stamp editor for waybills and related forms.
- Developed modules for loading/unloading operations, yard management, truck and train workflows, container movements and operational reporting, together with Ext JS interfaces for dispatchers.
- Optimized SQL and Hibernate queries, investigated production issues and improved validation and error handling for real-world logistics scenarios.
- Created a DocumentGenerator utility using Java reflection and Hibernate metadata to generate realistic test documents, improving regression testing and reducing manual test-data preparation.
- Implemented administration functionality including multi-user CRUD operations, bulk user import from Excel, reference-data management and role/permission-based access control.
- Contributed to multilingual UI support and worked closely with developers, the team lead and end users to clarify requirements and improve existing workflows.
Environment: Java, Spring Framework, Spring Security, Struts2, Hibernate, MySQL, REST, Apache POI, iText, Ext JS, Google Cloud Vision, HTML, CSS, JUnit, Maven, Git.
WGR Mobile — Android client for a cargo container terminal
2020 – 2022, 2025Native Android application used by gate and yard operators to handle truck and train check-in/check-out operations and manage container movements across terminal locations.
- Developed and maintained the Android client in Java, replacing a slower legacy hybrid mobile interface.
- Designed the application to work reliably on resource-constrained handheld devices, including Android 5 devices with single-core CPUs and 1 GB of RAM.
- Optimized JSON DTO models, payload serialization, networking and screen rendering to reduce transferred data and improve response and loading times on terminal devices.
- Developed reusable RecyclerView-based grid and tree components for displaying large operational datasets.
- Built a GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline for automated Android builds and releases, including multi-variant/product-flavor builds, dependency caching and publishing release artifacts to a dedicated release repository.
- Implemented and extended operational workflows for inbound/outbound trucks and trains and container movements between terminal locations.
- Improved search, filtering, scrolling and UI controls to make the application easier to use on handheld scanners and industrial devices.
- Implemented reliable state restoration and programmatic language switching for multilingual terminal users.
- Modernized the project in 2025 by migrating to a newer Gradle / Android build toolchain, updating Android SDK compatibility, resolving runtime permission issues and stabilizing release builds.
- Introduced multiple product flavors and customer-specific branding/configuration, including a dedicated workflow for security personnel.
- Continuously refactored legacy code and investigated production performance and stability issues.
Environment: Java, Android SDK, Material Design, RecyclerView, REST/JSON, Gradle, GitHub Actions, Git.
WGR Angular — modernization of the WGR web interface
2023 – 2024Angular-based modernization of the WGR web interface, gradually replacing selected legacy Ext JS workflows while integrating with the existing Java/Spring/Hibernate backend.
- Developed frontend modules using Angular 18, TypeScript, Angular Material and RxJS.
- Implemented a modular application structure with feature modules, shared components and services, lazy-loaded routes and route guards.
- Developed complex CIM/SMGS document workflows using reactive forms, validation and Angular Material dialogs, including nested wagon, container, cargo, carrier and related document data.
- Integrated the Angular application with the existing legacy backend using HttpClient while preserving existing business logic and server-side workflows.
- Implemented reusable UI components for data tables, toolbars, search fields, dialogs, reference-data selectors and language switching.
- Added authentication flow, route protection and centralized HTTP error/session handling using Angular guards and interceptors.
- Implemented multilingual UI support using ngx-translate and reusable translation infrastructure.
- Implemented document operations including creation, editing, saving, save-and-exit and PDF preview, as well as client-side business calculations and data transformation required by existing WGR workflows.
Environment: TypeScript, Angular 18, Angular Material, RxJS, Reactive Forms, HttpClient, ngx-translate, HTML, CSS, Git.
WGR Slots — terminal arrival slot reservation app
2025Angular web application for truck drivers to reserve arrival time slots at a container terminal.
- Developed a responsive single-page application using Angular 18, TypeScript and Angular Material.
- Implemented a multi-step validation flow based on PIN code and container number before allowing slot reservation.
- Integrated the frontend with existing backend REST APIs for validation, available-slot retrieval and reservation.
- Developed a calendar-based date and time slot selection interface using Angular Material components.
- Implemented multilingual UI support for Polish and Russian using ngx-translate.
- Added UX features including loading indicators, snackbar error notifications and clear validation feedback.
